Model: Deco X50
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

I have a X50 device connected to ISP with public IP (ip1) and a X50-5G connected to another ISP with private IP (ip2). I have a computer connected to the X50-5G router with private IP (ip3). I have setup VPN server on X50 and a VPN client on X50-5G. When ip3 browses the internet it shows to the world as ip1, which is great. I want to setup a webserver on ip3 that is accessible through ip1. Is that even possible? Currently even computers connected to ip1 dont see ip3.

  @NaskoD

Hi, welcome to the community.

As Deco X50-5G has a private internet address, so I'm afraid you can't access the devices behind Deco X50-5G as the firewall on the SIM ISP could block the possible connections. If you could request an APN profile with a public IP address from the SIM carrier, it might be possible.

Thank you very much and best regards.

  @David-TP Hi. Thanks for the info. I think I didnt explain it well. Let me try to illustrate it better:

router1 (X50), new york, ip 200.x.x.170

router2 (X50-5G), sidney, isp ip 10.0.0.30, lan ip 192.168.0.1

pc1, sidney, ip 192.168.0.11, connected to router2

pc2, london, ip 100.x.x.140, connected randomly outside the two router networks

option 1:

router1 has vpn server with ip 10.9.0.1

pc1 has vpn client with ip 10.9.0.11, connected to router 1

i want pc2 to open a website hosted on pc1, by calling http://200.x.x.170. router 1 should forward to 10.9.0.11

option 2(better if possible):

router1 has vpn server with ip 10.9.0.1

router2 has vpn client with ip 10.9.0.11, connected to router 1, giving vpn access to pc1

i want pc2 to open a website hosted on pc1, by calling http://200.x.x.170. router 1 should forward to 192.168.0.11 through the vpn connection

  @NaskoD

Hi, Thank you very much for further details.

I'm afraid the answer is still No. The local server hosted on the PC1 can't be accessed from outside no matter whether PC1 is connected directly to router 1 through VPN connection, or router 2 is configured as the VPN client of router 1 and set PC1 as the selected VPN client.

Moreover, I don't think router 1 can open ports for its VPN client.

Thanks again and best regards.
