HI i have a problem with with my tp-link TD-W8961ND on its default firmware.
the problem is that when i turn it on the pc detects it but i can't acces the internet and the wifi is disabled.
i wanted to reconfigure it by 192.168.1.1 but i can't acces it and to make it worse i can't reset it :(

when i turn it on



nothing is connected though the adsl and internet LED's are on



now i'm using my old router th tp-link TD-W8950ND wich i'm setting at 192.168.1.2
when hook them up by LAN to LAN the "new" modem's ethernet LED flashes continuously

help t think 'ts a problem in the firmware

Can't you reset it by the reset button, which is close to the power button?

It seems your dhcp is disabled on 8961, so you should configure a static IP address on PC to access the router.
Network&Sharing Center->Network Connection->TCP/IPv4-> input IP address 192.168.1.10, subnet mask as 255.255.255.0, others keep blank, and then wait for a while, then you can access the router.

i tried that already
maybe it's a hardware malfuncsion because
when i connect the two routers the "old" dosent detect the "new"

After reset,can you access the router by 192.168.1.1?
Is there wifi signal?
If not,maybe it's hardware issue.

it is impossible to reset the router even after holding the reset button for 30 secondes.
