DHCP not working correctly and Webconsole crashing regularly

I have just purchased a W8968 router and set it ip fine.
However the web based admin keeps crashing and I am unable to get back into it without having to hard reset the router.
That is an annoyance, but is livable.
However when I connect my laptop to the wireless SSID, DHCP doesn't seem to be working. It just doesn't give a valid IP Address.
The MAC shows up on the router, but now IP.
I have several IOS devices and they connect fine. The laptop is a Toshiba Tecra R950 and about 12 months old.
I have installed the latest firmware successfully, but this hasn't really improved much.
Any ideas gratefully received.
