Region : UnitedKingdom

Model : TD-W8968

Hardware Version : V1

Firmware Version : 0.6.0 1.3 v000e.0 Build 131012 Rel.51720n

ISP :

On wireless 2.4GHz setting if I enable "11bgn mixed mode" then on the wireless advanced tab the option to unset "Enable WMM" is greyed out.
If I select 11bg as the mode then "Enable WMM" can be either ticked or not.

As I have a mixture devices - 2 Dell laptops (1 4 years old and another 13 months old- also only support 2.4Ghz) and a BlackBerry Bold 9780 (also only 2.4Ghz).
I can run "11bgb mode". The 2 Dells connecting on N, but the blackberry only on G mode.
However the Blackberry while being able to get an ip address, it cannot browse or do anything else. I have discovered that if i disable the WMM mode the blackberry can connect and browse. However you cannot have 11bgn mode and WMM not enabled. As the moment you select 11bgn mode the option to untick (it gets ticked automatically) is gone.

So I have either 11bg and WMM not ticked and slow Dells but a Blackberry that can connect or 11bgn and quicker Dells and a Blackberry that cannot connect.

WHY?
I want the option to select 11bgn mode and still have WMM unticked. TP-link please explain why you are not letting me do this??

Technically, when you disable WMM, the router automatically change to 11g, that's because the function itself can't run on 11n. Some TP-LINK Routers allow disabling WMM in 11n mode, however, it will also run on 11g in fact, you get the speed 54Mbps of 11g rather than 11n. If you disable WWM, all features of 11n can't take effect in fact. So that maybe the reason for why they don't allow in 11n mode defaultedly.
