Hardware Version : V3

Firmware Version : 3.0.0 Build 120524 Rel.05221

I have a problem with the connection between the wireless clients and the router
the problem is that I get a very high ping time and a timeout each 5 or so pings ,
high ping : http://imgur.com/tyFvQT0
ping timeout : http://imgur.com/5u73ldr

every timeout the internet connection stops or drop speed dramatically to 5k of download or so when the ping is on again the speed goes up
the browsing also stops with the timeout and when there is a high ping time I get a very slow download speed and a very slow browsing.
I tried connecting the laptop with a wire to a LAN port the problem seems to disappear
I got an application to see if there is interference on the wireless network channel and I got nothing in major here is a photo of it

I tried a different laptops and even tried to get a wireless adapter and try it out while disabling the laptop wireless adapter

Maybe it's related to the wireless of this modem router, so you can try following method:
Log to TD-W8961ND's web management interface, go to Interface Setup-->Wireless, change Channel Bandwidth to "20MHz"

TD-W8961ND_V3 has published a new firmware, maybe you can try to upgrade it to have a try: http://www.tp-link.com/en/support/download/?model=TD-W8961ND&version=V3#tbl_j

If the problem still exits, you can try to set Channel Width to "20Mhz", set WPA-PSK+AES in wireless security. Or try no security.
Check whether the problem still exits
