TD-W8960N QoS causing problems when running online backup - Modem version 5.1
Region : Australia
Model : TD-W8960N
Hardware Version : V5
Firmware Version : 1.1.1 Build 131129 Rel.49672
ISP : iiNet
I've just purchased a new TD-W8960N v5.1 and there is a problem that did not exist on the v4 version of the same modem:
I run Crashplan from my Mac, and I've noticed that when Crashplan is backing up my computer to the cloud, all internet access by other devices on the network stops working. Even on my iMac where crash plan is backing up from I cannot access the internet through Safari or any other application.
If I pause the Crashplan backup, the internet is responsive again.
The only way around this problem is to untick 'Enable QoS' in the Quality of service options on the modem.
This problem did not occur on the v4 modem, I previously had a v4 modem and internet worked fine while Crashplan was backup up my computer.
Please could you look into this issue?
