Hi,

I have purchased a TD-WD8980 to use at with ADSL, I have a range of IP addresses 92.252.200.77/26 (92.252.200.77-92.252.200.90). However I can't seem to configure the router to use them, can anyone provide any advice?

Thanks.

Hi,

Thanks for that but there isn't any options there to configure the ADSL username and password on that page, have you set this up yourself?

Thanks.

Does your ISP use PPPoE or PPPoA? Look at p.27 or p.29. Did you run through the setup wizard? Have a good read through the manual and arm yourself with your ISP's required settings.

They use PPPoA. I have been through the setup wizard and can get online.

However all the outbound connections are from the same IP and also if the router loses connection then it can't reconnect as there is a conflict with the LAN IP being the same as the WAN IP.

With my previous netgear router the outbound connections were from each of the fixed IP addresses and if the router loses connection then you don't need to wipe the settings and set it up again.

Thanks.
