Model: Archer VR2100
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version:

Having owned a Archer VR2100 Ver 1.0 for some years which may have a possible fault and trying to decide which model to replace it with.

Its matched up with a Virgin Media router in modem mode and runs a Deco5 mesh system etc. etc

I was intially recommended to a VR2800 but to find this does not support mesh system so I'm not sure which one to go for - any recommendations would help. Thankyou

Hi, welcome to our community.

Although Archer VR2100 supports Onemesh and VR2800 does not support, they are can not set up mesh  network with Deco directly.

Also, if you are using a virgin media router and the VR2100 connects to it, I am afraid the VR2100 must work as wireless router mode instead of DSL modem router mode.

If my understanding is correct and you have several Decos, you may try to connect one of Decos to virgin media router directly to replace VR2100.

Thank you and best regards.
