Might Firmware upgrade solve frequent internet disconnects
Might Firmware upgrade solve frequent internet disconnects
Region : UnitedKingdom
Model : TD-W8980
Hardware Version : V1
Firmware Version :
ISP : BT
For the past week we have been suffering with very slow Broadband access. We generally only use wireless access, but following recommendations on our ISP Web Help Pages, we've connected a laptop to the router via an ethernet cable. This hasn't helped and the ISP Helpdesk was not at all helpful, once they knew we were using a 3rd-party router rather than a BT Home Hub. Our router (TD-W8980) still has the original firmware, so I wondered if a firmware upgrade might be the answer. Does anybody else use the same model router and have BT as the ISP? If so, what firmware is installed?
