Firmware Version :

ISP : BSNL

TP-LINK TD-W8961ND 300Mbps ADSL2+ Wireless with ModemRouter is the model

ADSL link comes up, internet access works normally for about 5-10 minutes, and then device heats up ...after 2 to 3 minutes, the ADSL link drops.

On the same line, another wireless router equipment was connected and it functions smoothly, no issues. So here the issue is isolated to this TP link unit.

The installation is inside a house room with normal ambient temperature of around 30 deg C.

Hi Siva

Hope this particular model has heavy problem i don't why these TP-Link people are not responding in forums.Even i use the same model with 150mbps speed.Mostly that might be hardware issue better to replace asap.

i'm also getting same problem in my Tp-link TD-W8961ND 300Mbps Modem Router.I think there is a fault in the manufacturing of this particular unit.

Bhanu, did you upgrade the latest firmware? If you doubt it is hardware issue, report it here, http://www.tp-link.in/support/contact/.

Yes, I have updated the hardware unit to latest firmware upgrade patch provided by Tp-link.
