BE550/BE9300 - Drops data connection on WIFI

Hi there,
Having upgraded to the Archer BE550/BE9300 Tri-Band Wi-Fi 7 Router, I find that I experience an unreasonable amount of buffering which my previous router didn't do.
Anyone having the same issue and potenially found a resolution?
What is experience i have -
1) During browsing on my laptop(s), via the various family iPhones connected, and using applications such as Facebook, Instragram, YouTube etc. the application(s) frequently pause loading and the spinning wheel appears for 20 to 30 seconds. Being on a high speed broadabnd connection with 800Mb download and 45Mbit upload, and not experienceing this on the previous routher I unsure what else to try from what I done below.
Devices this is experienced on, all has the latest OS updates, driver updates,
1) iPhone 12 Pro (Wi-Fi 6), iPhone 13 Pro (Wi-Fi 6) and iPhone 16 Pro (Wi-Fi 7).
2) Surface Pro 8 (Wi-Fi 6 AX201 160MHz 5GHz, Channel 64, 1729,1297Mbps)
3) Macbooks Air (Wi-Fi 6)
Devices not experiencing the issue,
1) Desktop + xbox, which is cabled (CAT6) into the router.
Things tried to resolve the issue,
1) Optimising Wi-Fi channels
2) Adding, removing OFDMA/MU-MIMO (this is normally enabled)
3) Different Wi-Fi Security methods with WPA2-PSK[AES]+WPA-PSK[TKIP], WPA3-Personal, WPA3-Personal+WPA2-PSK[AES] - (WPA3-Personal, is normally enabled)
4) TWT On/Off (this is normally disabled)
5) Guest Wi-FI Off (this is normally disabled)
6) 6GHz Off (this is normally disabled)
7) Various Channel bandwidth (normally enabled 2.4GHz (20MHz), 5GHz (20/40/80/160MHz)) 64 DFS.
8) Smart connect (Enabled)
8) MLO On/Off
9) Updating DNS(s) to 1.1.1.1, 8.8.8.8

I'm sorry to hear that you have similar issues with your router. Do you have the same model of router, Archer BE550? May I know what troubleshooting have you done? What are results?
When the internet drops, will the Router Internet LED turns red/orange occasionally? If yes, please test:
1) Connect a PC directly into your modem to verify if your ISP Internet is stable.
2) Make sure the Ethernet cable between your modem and the Router is connected properly, replaced old cables with new ones.
3) Change the DNS Server of the Router, login the web management interface of the Router, go to Advanced > Network > Internet > Advanced Settings, change the two DNS Servers into 1.1.1.1 and 8.8.8.8. How to Change the DNS servers on the wireless router and DSL modem router (New UI)?
4) Go to Advanced > System > Firmware Update to upgrade the firmware of the Router. How to Upgrade the Firmware on the TP-Link Wi-Fi Routers?
We have a Pre-released a firmware for Archer BE550 V1, you can install and update to the firmware to see if the issue can be resolved.

Even I am facing similar issue. Not happy with the router. Poor performance. My Teams calls are dropping and have buffering issues as well while watching any contents on youtube or netflix.

@Joseph-TP
The version is Archer BE550 v1.0 . I am on the last firmware, i tried all settings you have said and everything is the same. The strange thing is that when i try speed test the ping is good and the speed is 200 mbps that is more then enought for the movie and when i play it there is so much buffering, when i try with the deco s7 everything is fine so it must be the wifi 5ghz.

Hi@Goshox,
Thank you for your reply.
Are you still using router BE550? The high buffer may be caused by DNS resolution delay or network congestion. You can try the following suggestions:
- Change DNS to 8.8.8.8 and 1.1.1.1 How to Change the DNS servers
- Set QoS for specific devices. How to set up QoS
If you are no longer using BE550, we will continue to pay attention to this issue, and if you have the same feedback, we will collect further information to locate the problem.
Best Regards~

I am having virtually identical issues, and have pretty much changed every setting in an effort to resolve this, without success.
Mobile devices (both Android and iPhone) constantly buffering.
Other WiFi connected devices not working at very consistant speed or dropping connections.
Direct Ethernet hard wired connections are absolutley fine, and speeds fine.
I even bought an RE815XE (Mesh Setup) to attempt to extend the network in case of signal issues, and no improvment.
Firmware Version
1.1.2 Build 20250317 rel.18331(4555)
Hardware Version
Archer BE550 v1.0
Very frustrating for a new product.
A Linksys WRT1900ACS that this replaced didn't suffer any of thses issues.
