No, powerline adapter(PLC) product only extend your network through electric line! A wireless PLC can extend your wireless coverage, but it has nothing to do with your original wireless speed.
For example, you got a main wireless router in your living room, the signal is pretty good in the living room but in your room it is terrible. So you buy a pair of powerline adapter and plug one beside your router, the other in your room. The one in your room is a wireless powerline adapter thereby it broadcast a wireless network. You connect you phone to this wireless PLC, the PLC then talk to your router through the electric line.:)
