I have been trying to connect it to the router and I have no clue why it doesn't work.

After you configure the RE315,which LED lights are on? 

If you cannot configure the TP-Link range extender successfully, please refer to the situations below to troubleshoot. 

What should I do if I fail to configure TP-Link Range Extender?
