Hi,
I bought this modem today and after configuring it with details provided by Airtel, I could access the internet.
However, after a use of 2-3 minutes I see that the modem starts dropping packets. Below is status on ping that I do to the modem (192.168.1.1)

64 bytes from 192.168.1.1: icmp_seq=309 ttl=64 time=0.816 ms
64 bytes from 192.168.1.1: icmp_seq=310 ttl=64 time=0.870 ms
64 bytes from 192.168.1.1: icmp_seq=311 ttl=64 time=0.793 ms
64 bytes from 192.168.1.1: icmp_seq=312 ttl=64 time=0.782 ms
^C
--- 192.168.1.1 ping statistics ---
312 packets transmitted, 237 received, 24% packet loss, time 311341ms
rtt min/avg/max/mdev = 0.394/0.912/31.043/1.975 ms

You can see its 24% packet loss.

Here's the output of ifconfig

$ ifconfig -a

Because of this the connection is rendered useless for some productive use.

I am also facing a same issue with my TP Link TD-W8968
I downloaded the latest firmware as well but no luck.

Did you or anyone from TP link found you a solution?

Tried tests on different PCs?

Hello Sanjay,
I am also facing same on my airtel broadband after using this Router sp. on wifi mode. Even wifi signal also not strong as compare to my previous Beetal 450bxi. wifi connection speed also frequently change from 72mpbs to 5mpbs and suddenly showing message Unable to Connect. After 2-3 minute automatically connect.

Please help

Hardware Version: TD-W8968 V3 0x00000001


I also have the same problem with the In cell errors in the xTM interface and WLAN0 TX errors.

Also DHCP has some problem ;
1.We cannot set the lease time in seconds,minutes.
2.I have a ubuntu laptop with vmware installed.My laptop IP did not release even after i get disconnected from the wifi or wired connection it is still there and will not be able to login again.

i am also facng same issue with my TP link router TD-W8968, its airtel broadband connection, net disconnecting intermittently only on wifi, if i see ping results its keeps timing out after some time and starts getting replies automaticaly again. it does not happens on the Ethernet cable. only on wifi. few months back I had this issue that time some one from airtel came in and did some setting on my wifi router and that fixed the issue, however after few months my router got reset and I am back to same issue, i called airtel but this time they dont know how they fixed last time.. did any one got this issue fixed, most important thing is its only happening over the wifi and not on Ethernet in my case.

I had upgraded the firmware from Tp link site But that did not help either? the latest firmware .. any one got any solution so far ...
