Region : UnitedKingdom

Model : TD-W8960N

Hardware Version : Not Clear

Firmware Version : 1.4.0 Build 111108 Rel.40398n

ISP : Plusnet

Note although label on bottom of router states v1.5 (S/N 10178201273), Device Info Summary reports Hardware Version as TD-W8960N v3 0x00000002

WiFi randomly freezes with light on but all wireless devices become disconnected. ADSL light also freezes on at same time. After a few minutes ADSL light starts occasionally flashing again and then 1-3 mins later WiFi starts flashing and reconnection is then possible without restarting router. Have upgraded to latest firmware (for v1), and done a factory reset. No change. Freezing incidents can happen every 3-4 mins, or every few hours, but are usually 10-20 mins apart. I have had this router for ~2 years but this behaviour has only just started in the last 10 days.

Wired connection is working OK? Did you try different channels and using channel width 20MHz?
SInce you had many TP-LINK routers which had the same problem, did you ever contact TP-LINK people to ask for soluctions?
