I'm trying to configure my TP-LINK TD-8968 so that I can use a few real IP addresses on my LAN but can't figure out how to do so....

The WAN interface uses the IP address I want on my LAN. How do I change this? Do I need to set up the device as a bridge?

Real IP refers to WAN IP? We cannot do that.
If you restore the device to factory defaults, it will be in bridge mode. If you set up PPPoE connection on PC, you can obtain a public IP on your PC.
