I come here to share my experience upgrading the firmware on Archer D5.

I tried to upgrade the Archer D5 via my laptop Asus N56VZ with Firefox.
It did no work.

Then, I tried to upgrade it via my Asus X553MA (or F553MA) with Internet Explorer and it worked fine.

It can be related with the browser.
It can be related with my Firefox being full of addons.
It can be related with other stuff.

So, try different browsers or different PCs if you are having some problems.
