I use AdGuard DOH DNS on Chrome in Android ( DNS-over-HTTPS )

https://adguard-dns.io/en/public-dns.html

They can be set from Chrome settings like this:

AdGuard DOH works if the phone uses mobile data, but not if I browse through the home Wi-Fi. The phone connects to the Wi-Fi, but I can't browse the internet.

Browsing the net I managed to understand that it is a fairly common problem, and that it would have to do with port 853 but I'm not so sure, the only thing I am sure of is that I have not been able to find a solution.

The fact is that if it doesn't work only at home with the router, it is a problem that comes from the latter.

P.S. The problem remains the same even using other TP-Link modems/routers such as Archer VR2800v or VR1200v.

Hi, thanks for posting question here.

Did you ever disable both IPv4 SPI Firewall and IPv6 SPI Firewall under Advanced >>Security of the Web UI for a try?

If not, please have a try on different DSL modem routers you mentioned.

Best regards.

Yes, I disabled both Firewall protections but the situation did not change and I did this test on both the Vx230v, Archer VR1200v and VR2800v. The problem occurs on all these modems.

Try it yourself, you will see that you will not be able to surf the internet with the TP-Link Wi-Fi using DoH inside Chrome on Android.

My configuration is FTTC fiber with Dynamic Public IP.
