Firmware Version :
ISP : Kabel Deutschland
Hi all,
does anybody has found an IPv6 firewall functionality in C8 ?
I've connected a small server, which got an address via SLAAC from the PD scope.
And the whole internet can reach my server via IPv6 :(
cheers

No IPv6 firewall inside C8!
But if there is firewall in the server PC, maybe you can try to make some limitation...

no IPv6 firewall in an access with PD functionality, I can't believe !!
Any plans to implement in next firmware releases ?
if not, don't call the C8 a "state of the art" device....

IPV6 is end-to-end communication so every hosts uses its own global IPV6 address to access each other ...There is no NAT-like mechanism as IPV4. You'd better focus on the security on the PCs.
I has a router running Openwrt. There is a "firewall" but it is nothing more than some static route rules..

Even if the IPv6 provides end-to-end connectivity is prudent from routers supporting IPv6 to filter incoming connections towards the LAN devices with IPv6 and therefore a IPv6 Firewall is required on the router menu in order to control the cases you wish to allow an incoming connection, or deliberatly to allow everything (disable Firewall)
