AX Router and Adapter only showing AC in Windows 11
I have an Archer TX20U Plus USB adapter plugged via a USB3.0 port on the back (so direct to MoBo) of a nearly new Windows 11 Pro desktop PC.
My router is Asus AX57
Firmware is up to date on both the Asus Router software, Windows 11 and the Archer adapter.
Speed test on the wifi (5GHz band) is showing pretty much what I am paying for in terms of upload/download speed.
Wireless icon in the Windows 11 notification area shows full signal.
But...
When interrogating the WiFi properties Windows 11 reports Protocol as Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) not WiFi 6 (802.11ax) with aggregated link speed of 866/866.
Why not show AX (WiFi6)?
Is this (another) Windows 11 glitch? Ive tried changing the port to no avail.
Does anyone else have this issue?
