We always complain that our Internet goes slow and blame both service providers and our computers, however, those responsible could be our neighbors. Julien Herzen, Swiss doctoral student at Laboratory of Communications and Computer Applications École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), was aware of this problem and solved it with a new algorithm that allows routers select data channels depending on the number of files you upload in real time.
