i have purchased tl-mr3420 router and how to connect as wifi with my laptop , iam not having modem,please help me how to connect

If you don't have to access internet, it would be OK to connect MR3420 without any kinds of modem.
MR3420 has a default Wi-Fi name which is printed on the bottom. You can use the laptop to detect it and connect to it.
To access internet, you need a modem, like a USB modem, cable modem or DSL modem which provides internet connection.
