Model: Archer BE3600
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version:

Afternoon All,

I am having some really weird what I think are DHCP issues, I have a Archer BE230 v1.0 with firmware  1.1.3 Build 20241211 rel.47943(4555) as my main router, connected to this via ethernet is my main desktop PC. I also have on another ethernet connection a Archer C80 2.0 using firmware  1.13.15 Build 240812 Rel.53972n(4555) in access point mode replicating my WIFI settings.

I have around 28 clients on my network, mainly smart devices. On occasion when I turn on my desktop pc I have a network with no internet access.

I have tried doing ipconfig /release, renew etc. All the Netsh cmds but the pc will not connect. If i disconnect the access points cable from the back of the BE230 it immediately allows my pc to connect. It is not always my desktop pc this affects to, other laptops have been affected.

Any ideas?

Hi@Tyber,

Thank you for contacting our community.

Both Archer BE230 and Archer C80 support Easymesh, it is recommended that you can build an Easymesh network between them: How to add a router to an EasyMesh network as a satellite device

  @Tyber

When in AP mode, C80 should have its DHCP server disabled so the only active DHCP server would be on the BE230 - detals..

Thus, every device connected to BE230 or C80 should receive its IP address from the BE230 DHCP server.

Test with another device (a laptop for example) to see if this isue is related to the desktop PC only.

Another thing you could do is to set C80 with a static LAN IP address and for its Gateway/DNS set the BE230 LAN IP address - check how it goes.

Post some screenshots of your desktop PC network card settings

  @terziyski agreed, I even went through the access points settings to confirm this and it is disabled. But if the issue happens unplugging the access point immediately fixs it. Doesnt make sense to me, I have been through the client list and it shows no conflicting IP addresses.

I have tried setting a static IP on the desktop and that still won't allow connection just get "Network, No internet access"
