Torrent downloading via SMB (network drive)
Hello!
I'm using SMB on this router with my WD External HDD with USB 2.0 formatted to NTFS.
PC is on Windows 11. I have direct connection to the router with LAN cable.
Torrent software: QBittorrent.
Problem:
When I'm trying to download torrent it most of the time fails the download and shows I/O errors and quite often makes the drive inaccessible (it's hanging up the drive)
I saw the exact problem in this thread https://community.tp-link.com/ru/home/forum/topic/412822 , but neither found a solution or saw that support team created a ticket.
I tried to change different settigns in QBittorrent like adjusting cache sizes or I/O types or any other things like "piece extent affinity" etc.
And nothing helps or even makes things worse.
When I download torrent directly on that external HDD I have no problems, so I guess it has something to do with the SMB implementation or router's formware.
Also usage of that external drive for any different purposes works like a charm. I mean copying files, running movies on my TV from that SMB, but I can't download torrents.
I know the router has its own torrent client inside, but it doesn't have some features that I need and in addition it really laggy and download speed is very little in it.
Can we somehow escalate this problem or fix this somehow?
Thank you!
