Parent control not working

Hi
Im trying to set up parent control i created the profile on the tether app, assigned the devices, made sure that the mac was not randomised.
I set the costume times when the Internet is allowed and the week day as well.
So far so good, the Internet will stop but then it doesn't turn back on .
I then tried the time limit function and the same happened, it does turn off but the the WiFi connection stays connected but without Internet.
Please advise

Hi@Cheftouch,
Thank you for reporting your issue to our community.
If Parental Control is not working on the Router, please review the following troubleshooting steps based on different scenarios.
1. Parental Control delayed for one hour?
It is usually caused by the Daylight Saving time. Please open the Tether APP, and then go to Tools > System > System time to check the Daylight Saving Time and time zone settings.
2. Blocked device not working at all? Blocked device still having Internet access
1) Most mobile devices have randomized mac addresses enabled by default. Please check the current mac address of the client device and disable randomized mac address.
2) You could also check if the client device is using VPN to avoid the parental control, If so, disable VPN for testing.
Please contact us again with the results of the above troubleshooting steps. You may also provide us with more details so that we can help you more efficiently

I’ve had a similar issue on my Archer router too — looks like a firmware bug. The connection cuts off fine but doesn’t resume as scheduled. Try rebooting the router after setting up the schedule, that helped me once. Also worth checking if there’s a grinch for adults firmware update available.

I’ve run into the same issue with my Archer C64 — looks like the controls cut off the internet but don’t restore it properly. A router reboot sometimes fixes it temporarily. Also check if there's a firmware update, could be a bug halloweensquishmallows. Hopefully TP-Link patches this in a future release!
