I have no issues getting the wifi to work following setup but can not get the internet to work.

Who is your internet provider?
Before set it up, how about status of ADSL light on D2? Is it solid on?
Did you get configuration details like VPI, VCI, connection type/encapsulation mode, username and password from you r ISP?
On Diagnostic page, what's the test results?
