Model: Deco M4
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

I am trying to get my 3 Deco M4R´s to use my ethernet as backhaul without much success. I have a rather long house where the Router comes in a location i do not wish to have a Wifi base. So what I am trying to do is the following:

Internet -> Router -> Main Deco via direct Ethernet

                  Router -> Switch -> 2 additional Decos via ethernet

It seems that one of the additional Decos gets connected through Ethernet (which is changed by itself now and then) but the other is trying to backhaul via wifi leading to poor performance.

What should I do?

Thomas

  @MrTSwe

Hi, you might need to set Deco into "Access Point mode" under Deco APP>More>Advanced>Operation mode.

 General questions about Ethernet Backhaul feature on your Deco

By the way, can I have the firmware for your Deco M4?

How about the model number of the switch?

Wait for your reply.

Best regards.
