vx800v Bufferbloat / DSL Qos or limiting ISP Bandwidth Option Missing in Firmware

Helloooooo,
i got a vx800v since a Year and it is working quiet good.
The Problem ive got is i have trouble when gaming , so i did some testing and i found out that i have bufferbloat issues resulting in up to 800ms in upload and 300ms in download when the line is fully saturated.
I found out that in earlier firmware verson there was an DSL QOS option which has been removed and it would be good if i am able to limit my isp bandwidth.
My temporary solution is i put a firtzbox ( isp limit 250/33mbit) in line before as dsl modem and the vx800v as Accesspoint so i get a max 7ms bloat with grade A+ !
I have DSL 250/40 which get sync about 280/51mbit and my speeds are way higher than subscribed , the vx800x has not a single option to counter this issues.
I hope there will be a final firmware that brings similar options back!
thank u in advance!

Hi, welcome to our community.
Did you update firmware from the official website or is the country version of your VX800v is DE?
For the feature request, it is suggested to contact local technical support department for further feedback.
Thank you and best regards.

Hey there,
its the german firmware from my country , the firmware is up to date and taken from official website.
I contacted the support , lets see if they can do something.
I love my vx800v and i want to keep it , but i have to sell it if there will be be no solution and i dont want to use fritzbox + router in terms of power/energy consumption.
Thank you in advance

That Fritzbox workaround is clever—amazing what a bit of bandwidth shaping can fix kunstgebit op maat. Hoping they bring back proper QoS tools in the next update too!

Thanks for sharing – I'm having a very similar issue, though with a slightly different setup.
I have a DE Telekom DSL connection (50/20 Mbit), I recently got the new VX800, and while the hardware itself is great, I'm experiencing massive bufferbloat on the upload side via Ethernet – up to 240 ms load.
What’s really strange: with my old DSL router (connected to the same line), the upload bufferbloat was only 70 ms. Both routers get the same sync rate and line quality, yet the VX800 causes way higher latency?
This is super frustrating for gaming and video calls – and unfortunately, there are absolutely no options in the VX800 to deal with this issue. PS: I'm already on the latest firmware.
I really hope there will be a firmware update that solves these problems – the device is powerful, but this bufferbloat issue is a real dealbreaker for me.
@SLKingX
By the way, have you received any response regarding your issue? Would be interesting to hear if the manufacturer acknowledged the problem or gave any kind of feedback.
Cheers,

Yes im still in contact with a higher level of support. The Progress runs a bit slow because the assigned Support is right now on a business trip and ill have to wait.
I also have the latest firmware which doesnt solve the problem.
We need simply the Options like working QOS,Ingress Shaping, ISP or Sync Rate Limit of some sort.
ill report back if i have some
news.
