PPPoE over EWAN (Archer D7)
Region : France
Model : Archer C7
Hardware Version : Not Clear
Firmware Version : Archer_D7_V1_150514
ISP : Orange (Optic Fiber)
Hi,
Sorry that the "Model Number" is wrong, but there's no "Archer D7" option.
I'm trying to use my Archer D7 AC1750 as a Modem+Router for an optic fiber internet connection.
Having properly connected the ONT to the LAN4/WAN port, I tried adding a PPPoE wan connection (as it is required by my ISP).
To my surprise, it doesn't even try to connect. Indeed, it only seem to look for the DSL link, sees that there is none (it's not plugged in) and gives up.
How can I make it try on the EWAN port?
I'm pretty sure the EWAN port isn't broken, because configuring the Archer D7 to look for a static IP results in it actually using the EWAN port (although there is no answer, since my ISP doesn't use this method).
