Using TD-W8980 as a Wireless Access Point
Region : UnitedKingdom
Model : TD-W8980
Hardware Version : V1
Firmware Version :
ISP : Zen
Using TD-W8980 as a Waireless Access Point
I have a spare TD-W8980 which I would like to use as a WAP and also use the spare ethernet ports for other devices.
I would prefer not use to use the DHCP server on the router as I would like all my devices to get their IP addresses from my main DHCP server and I would like the TD-W8980 to be as transparent as possible on the network i.e. no subnet just a dumb switch with wireless access point all part of the same network.
Could anyone advise trhe simplest way to set this up, do I need to use the "DHCP relay" function or can I just simply disable the DHCP server and set the W8980 to a static or dynamic IP on my existing network?
Thanks in advance
