So what's the latency result if you use Wireshark on the PC? Wireshark shows the timestamp, and you count each interval between request and reply.

And the result is if you connect your PC directly to the modem and do the ping test.

Any differences?

I have a few devices that refuse to connect to the SSIDs anymore after performing that update.

  @Clive_A i got answer from support that this is an intended behavior
beside this, they still cant fix the lag issues i experience with all firmwares after 1.04 without full access to my network for diagnosis
thanks for support, time to change devices

In real-world physics, the latency is inevitable. I don't think this relates to the firmware.

So what steps did you take to troubleshoot it?

  @Clive_A your own support:

The latency difference you're observing is expected, as we've made some changes to the logic in the online_check section. Please be assured that this will not affect your actual data transfer.

I am saying the 1.0.4 version where you experience the lag. I am not sure what conversation you had with them regarding the "lag". I am just saying that latency is inevitable which makes you feel "laggy".

The graph, that latency increases, was the reason the support told you. I am in the group where they discuss your described issue.

To test your real latency, you might wanna do ping. Record each firmware version. It should not change too much unless your ISP has made changes on their edge routing which can increase your latency because of the routing changes on their end.

Latency to the ISP server is a stable value that you can refer to. You don't have many hops like the ping to a public server.

  @Clive_A
you misunderstood
1,04 is the only version working fine for me
1.12+1.13 have the issue with lag and wrong data activity with my 100mbit devices
1.20 is having this latency thing in omada controller, i just reported
i will downgrade back to 1.04
