Hi guys,
I am here to seek for some help for my new modem TD-W8961ND.
The modem is just 1 week old that I just bought it recently to replace my TD-W8968. I am encountering the connection slow by using WIFI and the connection seems to be drop off (My page loads very slow sometimes and I unable to logon the router UI 192.168.1.1 , the page wont show up no matter I use Ethernet cable or WIFI)
I have tried the following method but the problem is still occurs randomly:
1) Disable UPNP service entirely
2) Set a fix IP for my PC
3) Change phone socket splitter and cable
4( Reset the modem to factory setting
5) Fix the Wifi channel to certain channel
By the way, I noticed that the system log are showing error code as below:

If you cannot logon the router, how did you check the system log? When it happens, how about status of all lights on front panel of W8961ND?
The old TD-W8968 has no such a problem?

Hi, thanks for the reply. Regarding the router logon issue, it happens randomly regardless I am using cable or wireless connection.
I bought this new TD-W8961ND to replace my old TD-W8968 (Ver 1.0) is because I want a new modem and the antenna gain ( 3dbi vs 5dbi).
In fact, this is the 2nd unit (replacement unit from TP-Link) due to the first TD-W8961ND was found faulty on the first day I bought it, the ADSL port is not working at all.
It works fine for the first 2 days and then my wireless connection is getting slower and dropping frequently.
I have tried on the solutions below but I feel like it is not effective:
1) Disable UPNP service
2) Use inSSIDer to analyse and I fix my WIFI to a recommended channel that nobody is using.
3) Disable modem Firewall ( its "On" for default)

When it happens, how about status of all lights on front panel of W8961ND? You may take it to service center to test.

In my opinion problem with line attenuation is too high which generates CRC mistakes and connection is unstable. I repeat you have to report it at ISP

I feel like the problem is from the wireless, the ethernet and ADSl shows 0 error but there are a lot of errors in WLAN section.
The pc which uses ethernet cable has smooth connections but the wireless are not
Is it possible to rma this modem for this issue ?
