Request to Enable 6GHz Band on Archer BE230 (BCM6764 Chipset)
Hello TP-Link Team,
I'm a proud owner of the Archer BE230 (also known as BE3600), and I appreciate its performance and value. However, I've noticed that it currently operates only on the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands, despite being marketed as a Wi-Fi 7 router.
Upon researching, I found that the BE230 utilizes the Broadcom BCM6764 chipset, which supports tri-band operation, including the 6GHz band.
This raises the question: is the omission of the 6GHz band a hardware limitation or a software/firmware decision?
Enabling the 6GHz band would allow users to fully leverage Wi-Fi 7 capabilities, such as reduced interference and higher throughput, especially in environments with many Wi-Fi devices.
I kindly request TP-Link to consider enabling the 6GHz band on the Archer BE230 through a firmware update, if feasible. This enhancement would significantly improve the router's functionality and user experience.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Best regards
