ECO MODE function is not yet supported for X50 Outdoor unit.
ECO MODE function is not yet supported for X50 Outdoor unit.
I bought the X50 Outdoor unit about a year ago, to expand and enhance my home network consisting of two X50 units that worked very well.
The coverage in the garden is now very good but since then I no longer have the ECO mode functionality for any unit, this is because the non-compatibility of the outdoor unit, disables the function also for the indoor units.
Since then I have written to support several times to find out if there were any news.
As of May 2025, the response from support is "the function is not supported". Thanks! I have known this for a year now.
I would just like to know when and IF it will be supported, or if it will never be.
Temporarily it would be enough for me to be able to enable it for the units that support it.

@Sebastien137
I also discovered it after installing it but almost 12 months have passed and still no update has added this feature which, I repeat, also disables it on other devices that support it.

I built a whole deco home network and now also added the x50 outdoor. Its SO annoying that this particular unit doesnt support ECO mode. Can we get some official reply? Or is this forum just for people to be annoyed together?

Did you write to support via the app? I did, many times. Maybe we'll have to do it together.

Very strange thing: I updated my outdoor unit to the latest firmware (v1.3.1 Build 20251030 Rel.41614). After the reboot, a new ECO MODE option appeared. I was surprised because there was no mention of this feature in the changelog. I went ahead and configured the settings: I set the 5GHz band to turn off, reduced the power, and scheduled the LEDs to switch off, everything at 11 PM. I tested it, and it actually worked! The LEDs turned off as planned, and devices on the 5GHz band successfully migrated to the 2.4GHz band. The problem? Today, the "Eco Mode" button has completely disappeared from the app. It’s not a huge deal if the settings stay active, as it might just be a bug in the app interface. I’ll wait until 11 PM tonight to see if the schedule still triggers. Not a big problem if the settings still work. It would be only an app bug maybe. We will see today at 11 p.m.

There's no firmware available yet to add eco mode to the X50 outdoor unit, at least officially. If I try to reboot just the outdoor unit, I can see the eco function in the app for a couple of minutes and set it up. Then, once it's finished booting, it disappears. Initially, it seemed to retain the eco settings, even though the function was no longer visible. I could see units connected to the 5GHz network lose connection and switch to the 2.4GHz network. Then, after a few days, everything seems to be back to normal. So, no workaround seems to work. Even a smartplug doesn't work because the eco function would have to be enabled manually each time.
