I bought the Deco X20 (3 nodes) as my Virgin Media hub was only giving me fast speeds (200-300mbps) while close to the router. Elsewhere in the house was only getting around 30mbps. 

The main node is connected to the Virgin hub 3 downstairs, one is also downstairs in the next room and the other is upstairs in the closest room. I have a 3 bed semi detached and believe this mesh system should cope with bigger houses. However, when carrying out speed tests I am still only getting 30-60mbps. I don't have many devices connected at once so it isn't heavily used.
 

On the main Deco app screen the speed shows in kbps, is this testing a different speed as it seems very slow?

The test internet speed on the app shows 282mbps on download but when carrying out speed tests on other sites it shows around 40mbps download/36 upload (Which and speed checker). 
 

I also tried to connect a Ring Doorbell to the deco but it kept disconnecting or was getting poor signal. I tried setting it to 2.4ghz only but this made no difference. 
 

Am I missing something or are there some different settings I should try so I am getting faster speeds around the house as I understood the mesh system would give me.
