Model: TL-WA855RE   RE215
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

Had the TL-WA855RE since january of this year then all of a sudden it stopped working and says no internet connection. Tried basic trouble shooting with the help of tp link tech but did not work and was advised to return it to the seller for further checking. Because of the hassle ,i bought another one for the meantime the RE215 but still has the same issue, didn't know that to do anymore so tried calling pldt for help but to no avail, was advised to hire a private tech to help with the installation. Is there any one know what to do with this, I'm no tech savy either so I'm not sure if the extender is the problem or the modem from pldt it self. No help from pldt as of now since it was like it was out of their scope 🙄

Ps: tried connecting using lan cable as well,  but still no internet connection 😔

Sorry for the late update.

PLDT decided to change our modem and it does the trick. It's working perfectly fine now.

Thank you

Reset the RE215 to its factory defaults by press and hold the reset button for about 10 seconds.

Once reset use this video guide to connect RE215 to your ISP modem.

Using an ethernet cable to connect the RE215 to your ISP modem requires RE215 to be in AP mode.

Here's a post that you can use too if you want to configure RE215 in AP mode (wired to the ISP modem).

Did this too..and again after reading this. but still no internet connection. It will connect for a second after setting up the extender, then it will go back to no internet connection.

In this case if you want to troubleshoot the issue, you should post here some screenshots of your ISP modem model, its Wi-Fi, WAN/LAN settings, as well as the RE215 LAN settings Without these details any troubleshotting process of this issue won't be productive. In case you post here these settings it's better to cover/blur any visible passwords.

These are not very informative. Post WAN and LAN settings from HUAWEI router:

Post the basic WLAN settings (not advanced):

If the RE215 is currently running as a range extender post its wireless basic settings as well.

Use a computer browser to take the screenshots (Snipping Tool) - it's more convenient to scale them and gather more information.
