WIFI Connection issues

I have just added a 610 to my existing Omada network. The device has been adopted; however I have connection issues.
It appears to be broadcasting my network however I am unable to connect through it. When I move inside (from existing network) to outside to connect to the new access point I loose connection. If I turn the WIFI on; from a device I wish to access the network; such as a phone, it can see the SSID it will not connect. Please advise.

It just will not allow any device to connect to it.
>>>This happens when the EAP have no Internet access.
I still suspect the cable reason. Did you change the POE cable that plugged into the EAP unit? Also the cable plugged into the LAN port. Please make sure testing with a known working cable.
Also, please try factory reset the EAP and try agian.

Hi @GeraldWiley
Thanks for posting here.
It seemed like there is no Internet access from the EAP610-outdoor.
Does the EAP610-outdoor plug into the network? Do you use an Ethernet cable to connect it?
You can factory reset the EAP610-outdoor, and don't add it into the Omada network, normally, it will broadcast its own SSID, please test with that SSID.
If there is no internet access, please check if the cable is working, you may change different cables to connect the EAP610-outdoor.

Thanks for that. Its more that it wont allow anything to connect to it. So can see the SSID being broadcast. Its outside so its easy to approach without aready beig connected to the main wifi. It just will not alow any device to connect to it. Thats were it appears to break the MESH network as I move out of range of one (existing) onto another (new)
I have changed the cables. I reluctant to switch ports incase it causes issues with another access point. Its like there is a block in alowing a device access.
I have update firmware etc

Many thanks you were correct, it was a cable issue. Swapped that out I am getting closer it is that it wont allow me to get on the internet now. Done the factory reset.
If I go into the access point it will see me as a connected device/client; with my iPhone. My phone will allow me to see the network, as will a PC however it wont let me get on the internet. It shows me as connected with no internet access
I suspect its a simple fix; i.e. a box to check/uncheck etc......... 'oh you actually want the internet through this Access point eh!!!!!!!!!!!'
cheers

@GeraldWiley You can see it with your device, but it won't connect to the internet? Is your device not able to get an IP address through the AP? If that's the case, you may want to make sure there isn't an IP conflict. Give the AP an open static IP and see if that helps. I have encountered situations where a switch glitches and assigns itself a .1 IP address in direct conflict with the gateway, which causes all kinds of gremlins in the network.
