I recently bought a set of M4s to connect my homelab to my existing network. My homelab runs its own DCHP server and therefore I need to disable the DHCP server in the M4 units. I found out this is not possible, making my purchase worthless. I don't understand why an essential feature like this is not included.

 

Do anyone know of alternative firmware available for the M4s?

Hi, It is suggested to set Deco M4 into "Access Point" mode, which has the DHCP server disabled:

  @David-TP Yes, but that's not an option for me. The network is already set up with its own DCHP server, DNS and everything and it is important that it is kept separate from the other devices on the inside of my internet connection. I have several subnets, physically separated and I need to keep it that way,

Since this seems to be a common issue with the M$ units, I was wondering if there's an alternativ firmware to put on the devices like OpenWRT, but since I posted my question, I did find the M4 on the list of supported hardware for OpenWRT and it seems it may be the best option for my purpose.
