Model: RE200
Hardware Version: V5
Firmware Version: 1.0.12 Build 230220 Rel.36077n (6985)

I've been using this RE200 device for a couple months as an extender for the main router and also as an antenna for my PC which does not have a wi-fi card, and the entire time it's been randomly dropping connection several times a day.

I'm connected through Ethernet cable. I have ping running in the background to diagnose and it looks like this:

Reply from 8.8.8.8: bytes=32 time=17ms TTL=117

PING: transmit failed. General failure.

I disabled DHCP server in the settings a while ago, I think it helped because disconnects were more frequent at first. I also set it to fixed IP, made no difference.

Any way to fix this?

  @Joseph-TP

Not sure about wireless, I'm only using it on my phone and I wouldn't notice short interruptions there.

I updated firmware to the latest version, the issue still persists.

 Hi @rivx,

Thank you for your reply.

Please make sure the Ethernet cable between your router and the extender is connected properly, replaced old cables with new ones.

Please check if the router can provide network stably when the issue persists.

Please test different clients for a comparison.

If the issue persists, it is recommended that you can contact local support for further help.
