BE/GE series routers DoH/Dot testing with random secured DNS service providers

Greetings all
As the title says BE/GE series routers DoH/Dot testing with random secured DNS service providers.
So far i can confirm Mullvad DoT secure DNS works just fine (little bit slow but work)
DoH sadly does not work yet , however i have contacted Mullvad support and reported strange behavior when setting up DoH instead of DoT.
Feel free to post any other issues or good results with secure DNS service providers that working with GE/BE Tp-link routers
Regards
Ovi

Hello @Ovidiuss
Except for the reasons mentioned in this thread, please also check if you can enable Mullvad DoT secure DNS in your browser and verify if it works as expected.
If you're using Google Chrome, you may find this option by navigating to the "three dots" menu > Settings > Privacy and security > Use secure DNS. You can find similar settings for other browsers.
BTW, how about contacting Mullvad? Are there other suggestions?

Hello Kevin
Mullvad DoT works on BE800 , GE800 , BE550 , GE550 quite well ( the only small issue would be sometimes a slight delay in response of some querries)
I have contacted Mullvad tech support and they said they are investigating on their server side the odd secure DNS response to TP-Link router DNS interrogation.
On the other hand , here is a complete guide (maybe tp-link dev team find it useful) for different OS , mobile OS , Browsers and platforms for secure DNS setup and usage with Mullvad services: https://mullvad<.>net/en/help/dns-over-https-and-dns-over-tls
I have tested Mullvad DoH directly MacOSX specific profile works fine, Windows 11 works fine , Ubuntu works fine , Firefox , Chrome extensions also work fine with a positive mention that Firefox one have the ability of usage with Socks5 proxy.
The troubling aspect is that on Mikrotik Ubiquity and Asus brands routers the Mullvad DoH service is working and running fine.
(due to my network specific environment work i have to work with multiple brands but for my home environment i always liked and used TP-Link for good pricing and reliability )

Sorry for my typo. I intended to mean Mullvad DoH.
Thank you for the valuable information! I will share it with our developers and update you once I hear back from them.

I've just updated my GE800 with firmware V1_1.2.1 Build 20250610 (stable) that introduced DoH/DoT support.
I've configured DoT with my custom DNS provider, Control D, and everything looks fine.
