Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.13.11

Dear TP-LInk Team,

I am experiencing a problem with internet-based voice calls to my home country, India, while I am connected to Wi-Fi in Australia. The call status shows as "ringing," and the recipient is able to answer the call, but the connection does not fully establish—there is no audio on either side.

However, when I switch from Wi-Fi to mobile data (SIM card internet), the call connects properly and works without any issues. Additionally, similar internet-based calls within Australia work perfectly on the same Wi-Fi connection.

This suggests the issue may be related to Wi-Fi connectivity for international calls. I would appreciate any assistance or suggestions you can offer to help resolve this matter.

Thank you for your support.

Best regards,
Mihir Patel

Hi@Mkpatel,

Thank you for contacting our community.

Did you connect to 5Ghz for the phone call?

Here are some suggestions for your issue:

  • Try to change DNS to google DNS:How to Change the DNS Servers on a TP-Link Wireless Router (New UI)
  • Enable guest network for a comparison: Go to Advanced > Wireless > Guest Network.
  • Disable SIP ALG. Please login the router's web management interface, go to Advanced > NAT Forwarding > ALG or Advanced > Security > ALG, disable the "SIP ALG" and save the settings. Skip if you cannot find this option.

Best Regards~
