Hello,

My Samsung A53 phone has difficulties staying connected to the X60 network.

The phone says that it is generating random MAC-addresses, and that I should add these to my router´s allow list.

Where can I find this allow list in the Deco app for android?

Thanks!

Hi, can I have the current firmware version of your Deco X60?

Have you tried to disable "Random MAC Address" on the Samsung A53?

It is also suggested to disable "Mesh Technology" on the Deco APP for A53:

Thank you very much.

Best regards.

@David-TP Thank you for your reply.

Great, I will try disabling random MAC address on my phone, and disable mesh technology.

How do I find the firmware version of the X60?

Best regards,

Hans

Hi, Thanks for the update.

Deco X60_v2_1.5.3 doesn't support the MAC address allow list. In other words, it doesn't block any MAC addresses by default.

So I don't think the disconnection on the Samsung devices might have anything to do with the MAC filtering settings.

It is recommended to test the suggestions mentioned here:

Disable "Mesh Technology" as well as "Fast Roaming" and "Beamforming" under Deco APP>More>Advanced.

https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/forum/topic/818522?replyId=1554206

Moreover, I've there is various feedback about 5GHz connection instability on Samsung A53 via Google Search. I'm afraid it might not be dedicated to one router, and it is also suggested to check whether there is any system update ready for the Samsung A53.

Best regards.

@David-TP Thank you for your the tips.

When testing on the guest network, I disabled the 5ghz band and only used the 2.4ghz band, which made the connection more stable.

Is it possible to split the main wifi network into one 5ghz SSID and one 2.4ghz SSID?

Hi, thanks for the update.

I'm afraid it is not possible to split the main WiFi network into one 5ghz SSID and one 2.4ghz SSID

For Deco X60_V2_1.5.3, it doesn't support IOT network, and the only way to have separate SSIDs is to enable the Guest network.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Best regards.
