Hi, I recently went to China for a short holiday and purchased a China model AX3000 (YLWR3000G) router and I am having trouble getting it setup for use outside of China. The configuration web page is all in Chinese and I also cannot access with the TP-Link app on my mobile phone. Can anyone help to provide some advice on how to have this setup for my home use?

Hi,

Be sure to use the correct "TP-Link" app for this router model. The app named "Tether" is for devices marketed outside of China. Chinese models require the app named "TP-LINK物联" which can be downloaded by scanning the QR code on the quick guide.

However, I usually recommend using a web browser of a computer to configure the router, as the larger interface should make it more obvious what each setting is for.

You should be able to get to the router's web interface via http://192.168.1.1   (in case that does not work try http://192.168.0.1 or tplogin<dot>cn)

Does your ISP require a special configuration for the Internet connection or is it the type where you just plug the Ethernet cable into the ISP device and that's it?
