Hi,

Im hoping someone can talk me through how to set up the W8968 as a second router on my existing network. Everything I try doesn't seem to work.

I currently have a netgear DGN2200 wireless modem router which is connected to the internet and all works absolutely fine.

Router IP is 192.168.0.1
subnet is 255.255.255.0
DHCP range is 192.168.0.2-254

Please could someone shed some light on how its done?

From past experience, all I had to do before was disable DHCP and then set the IP address of the router to something within the DHCP range of the first router. Then connect a network cable linking the two routers.

What am I missing?

Thanks

So you want to use W8968 as an access point with DHCP disabled?
It is quite easy...
Reset the W8968 to factory defaults first. Change wireless SSID and password. Change its LAN IP to 192.168.0.2. Disable DHCP. Connect netgear router to LAN1.
