Are you talking about VPN connection or anything else?
W8968 supports PPTP, L2TP, IPSec Pass-through. Is it what you need?

Yes, I am referring to VPN's. My customer wants to use this to initiate the L2TP session, in other words being one of the VPN endpoints. Pass-Through is not what he would need

You can configure IPSEC site to site tunnels but not L2TP.
