Model: Tapo S200D
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.12.0

Hi,

I bought an S200D button to integrate with a third party application (Home Assistant), but there is little to no functionality. Do you plan on expanding third party integration with these buttons at all?

If not, then it seems a shame as these buttons are generally really nice, beautifully put together and smart looking and they would be great to have that flexability and functionality.

Thanks,

First, it's essential to clarify that Tapo devices do not support open-source platforms like Home Assistant. We don't provide support for such unofficial product usage.

Due to compatibility issues, the functionality of the Tapo devices on authorized third-party platforms is limited. For a full experience of all features, we recommend using the native Tapo app to manage your device.

We don't have information on product future plans. We recommend keeping an eye on our official website, community, and new firmware releases of your product for the latest updates.

Re:Third Party Support for S200D Button
Yesterday
Hi, I also would like to accomplish integration of the tapo wireless push/rotate button and was wondering if the following workaround might work. This button also appears to be sold in combination with a matter certified [dimmer P135](https://www.tapo.com/en/product/smart-plug/tapo-p135-kit/). This dimmer (even without anything actually connected to it) could probably advertise it's state and state changes (on / off and % brighness) to a matter controller and as such be used as a Tapo-Link to Matter bridge for the S200B button that's included in this kit. For me it is a bit unfortunate that the P135 isn't available for the European market, meaning that I would also need to put a 240 to 110 Voltage converter c.q. powerplug adapter in front of it, making this solution even more clunky and probably not certified. If I'm not mistaken, the matter standard does not yet include a simple button device combining both switch and rotate functions, so the use of a dimmer or simmilar intermediairy device currently might still be the only way to integrate such control knob. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Regards,
