Hi,

Please verify the "Channel" used for the 5 GHz band is a channel that has been approved for use by the regulator in your country.
If the 5  GHz "Channel" is currently set to "Auto", then also select an approved channel manually.

Some countries do not allow the use of channels 149 - 165, while a few other countries do not allow channels 36 - 48.

Hi @jamilahmed123 ,

Welcome to our community.

With the Smart Connect feature enabled, the TP-Link router will combine the 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz Wi-Fi into one. To distinguish the 2.4G & 5G Wi-Fi, please log into the router's web interface, go to Advanced> Wireless> Wireless Settings to disable it, and set different Wi-Fi names.
If you can see two WiFi names separately, but only can connect to 2.4Ghz or 5Ghz, please try the following steps:
1. Reboot router. ( Power off and power on again)
2. Change the channel and channel width of the abnormal frequency: Changing Channel and Channel Width on a TP-Link Router (new logo)
3. Hard reset the router and test further: How to reset TP-Link router to factory defaults

Best Regards.
