Thanx for welcome.
It will be hard to read display with cables leading to the back...
I thought MAC clone is standard for higher class routers, many providers are fixed to the device MAC address, so this will disqualify M8550 from using in this cases (my case - I need mostly wired connection).
For Multi-WAN I should say the BACK-UP function, because this function is problematic not only for TPlink (causing streaming devices instability and zigbee hub disconnections), so I have to disable it on every router and with this back-up function is closely connected internet connection check (main source of problems, I think).
Due this problem I can't use your WR3002x - there should be switch for back-up disable, but there is only indicator instead...

Alex

@Alex_cz
Hello,
In my M8550 I can see option for Wired WAN MAC Cloning:

Is there a way to set the LAN port to being ON by default after every time you reboot the device?
I appreciate it is turned off by default generally to save power, but I use the LAN port regularly and am constantly frustrated by the need to have to turn the port on when I power the unit up.
Thanks.

Hi, thanks for the further details.
I'll record the feature request for screen rotation first and forward it to the senior engineer for further evaluation.
Sorry, I was wrong about the MAC Clone. It is available in Ethernet WAN router mode, just not in 5G router mode.
@JouJek , Did you happen to share a screenshot of the 4G/5G backup settings on the M8550, or check if there is a 4G/5G backup under Network>Internet>Internet setup? I didn't have an M8550 in hand for more tests. I had a feeling it might not support 4g/5G backup.
Thank you very much.
Best regards.

@David-TP
That is right - seems that backup option is not supoprted yet - I can't see it in my M8550:
BTW. On the TP-Link World Wide page there is emulator for M8550 available:

I'm afraid it didn't. For saving power, the LAN port will be automatically disabled if no network cable connection is detected within 3 minutes.
It is quite inconvenient for a constant Ethernet connection. I'll forward the request to the senior engineer for further evaluation.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Best regards.

Excellent! Thank you very much.
The emulator helps in some ways. Unfortunately, the current version stays in Mobile WAN mode all the time.
Best regards.

Hi,
i try to update firmware on my M8550 (current firmware is 1.1.0 3.0.0 v60d8.0 Build 250426 Rel.66882n) to a newer. But no matter which firmware i try to update, i always get error " Error code: 4503 The uploaded file was not accepted."
The online update tool says " Your firmware is up to date "?
i tried different Browsers, without SIM-Card and factory reset, but nothing worked.
Please, can anybody help me to update firmware?

Hi, welcome to the community.
Do you receive M8550 from your SIM ISP?
Apart from the standard version "1.1.0 3.0.0 v60d8.0 Build 250426 Rel.66882n", there is one more customized firmware version with the same build and Rel numbers for the SIM ISP-O2. I wonder if you're using the customized version and want to manually update to the standard M8550(EU)_V1_250814:

Wait for your reply.
