Switch 5G to DSL modem / WLAN Router

Hi, I´m about to switch my Deco X50-5G to WLAN Router mode as DSL landline was finally installed and the temp 5G solution becomes obsolete. Before switching the mode to "WLAN-Router" and try DSL connect via cable, any considerations / recommendations to keep in mind? WLAN and network stay I AsIs assume? Did not find any documentation on this step...

Hi, I think Deco X50-5G_v2_1.0.1 would work well in wireless router mode.
You can change the operation mode under Deco APP>More>Advanced.
You can take some steps in this link as a reference: https://www.tp-link.com/en/support/faq/3079/
Best regards.

@David-TP thanks. Weird followUp question: does the 5G have a DSL modem built in or is the assumption in WLAN Router mode DSL modem is external?

Hi, Deco X50-5G has no built-in DSL modem.
When it works in WLAN router mode, you might need an extra DSL modem.
Best regards.
