Deco M4 firmware update

Hi everyone
First post!
I have 4 Deco M4's and need some help in trying to get them all to the same firmware level
I have tried so many different ways to upgrade the firmware but the main one connected to the model remains at that one same level, I have recreated my network and used it as a satellite, to try and update, still wont
Looked on the tp link website and it say 1.12 is the latest, but i have 1.6.5 auto installed on 3 and 1 stuck on 1.12 ?
Can anyone give me some help please as Im running out of ideas. I have had some lags and was wondering if it was a buggy 1.12 firmware that may be causing me issues.
Many thanks!!

@Ipman3 You have (4) Deco M4 models (3) are on Hardware Version 2 and the other Deco is Hardware Version 4 and you have to remove Deco M4 which is on 1.1.2 and update the other Deco models which are V2 hardware update to 1.7.0 firmware manually and you can download the update from the website and 1.1.2 is the latest firmware for V4 hardware. First of all remove the V4 Deco and update the all V2 Deco to 1.7.0 and then add the V4 model again.

@Ipman3 hello there
first of all turn off the living room deco ( just the living room )
then update the 3 decos to firmware 1.7.0 .... open deco app - go to more - go to system - go to update deco ... the app will search for the latest firmware to your deco then download it and install it .... the 3 decos will restart just wait like 1 or 2 min then all of them will turn on
after that turn on the living room deco

@Fizaro thanks for your reply, the living room is the main deco connected to my virgin media hub, so you suggest I turn that one off?

@Ipman3 Because your living room Deco is already updated to latest firmware which is V4 hardware and now you can able to use Connection Preference feature on all Deco units.

@ARGamingPK1 Cheers Buddy - the confusing part in all this seems seems to be the hardware version! - its odd as I purchased as a four pack so all came together in one box, but it seems one was HW V4 whilst others were V2 - probably just the batch I got. Its just my OCD which is trying to get them all on the same version! lol
